SURGICAL CORRECTIONS OF THE UPPER ARMS
SURGICAL CORRECTIONS ABOVE THE KNEE
Patients who have significantly lost weight have the need to remove excess skin and fat from certain parts of the body with surgical corrections. Dermolipectomy is a surgical procedure that addresses this problem. The most frequently treated regions are upper arms (brachyoplasty), upper legs and lower abdomen.
PREOPERATIVE TREATMENT
General health check and basic laboratory analysis is mandatory for all patients. It would be preferable to stop smoking, and taking drugs and preparations that affect blood coagulation.
SURGERY
- Anesthesia: The operative procedure is performed in general endotracheal anesthesia.
- Duration: Duration of the operation is 1 hour per region.
POSTOPERATIVE PROCESS
After surgery, patients stay in Polyclinic one day. Antibiotics and analgesics and, if necessary, other medications are ordered. Drenitis is usually taken 1-2 days after surgery. Contables used themselves are resorbable and do not need to be removed. Scar is necessary to treat scars against creams. After 10 days you can go back to work without any hard physical effort and full recovery is expected after 6 to 8 weeks. Take the elastic straps one month after surgery.
COMPLICATIONS
As with all operations complications are rare and can occur in the form of serum, infection, and as a later complication a hypertrophic scar may occur.
